Materials

  1. Plastic rings or rope rings
  2. Safari animal cones, bottles, or printed animal pictures on stands
  3. Tape or chalk to mark a throw line

Rules

  1. Set up the safari animal targets in a row or small cluster.
  2. Mark a throw line a few feet away.
  3. Kids take turns tossing rings onto the animal targets.
  4. Score: one point per animal caught with a ring.

Jungle Animal Stomp

Kids stomp on safari animal footprints as they follow a path through the “jungle” to reach the finish line.

Materials

  1. Paper animal footprints
  2. Tape
  3. Safari music

Rules

  1. Tape animal footprints on the floor in a winding path.
  2. Start the safari music.
  3. Kids take turns following the footprint trail by stepping only on the prints.
  4. When the music stops, everyone freezes like their favorite safari animal.
